Hawthorn’s map is confirmed, expanded and still unfinished — and no coordinate data has been released. This is the honest status page for anyone looking for an interactive map.

Short answer
Is there an interactive Hawthorn map?
Not yet, and not from us until it can be accurate. The game has a real, expandable map — the studio shipped an entirely new area map in Summer 2026 — but NEARstudios has published no coordinates or point-of-interest data.
An interactive map built on guesses would send players to places that do not exist. Use the Locations database for what is confirmed today.
An entirely new area map shipped in Summer 2026, and the expandable game map has been under construction since the Winter 2025/2026 build.
Interactive maps are the most requested feature on game wikis and the easiest one to ship badly. A map is a data product: every pin is a claim about where something is. For an unreleased game with a map that is actively being rebuilt, those claims cannot be verified.
The failure mode is specific and bad: players use a wrong pin, walk to a location that does not exist, and conclude the wiki is worthless. One confidently wrong pin costs more trust than an honest “not yet”.
There is also a movement problem. Hawthorn’s resources are placed procedurally and react to world events, so even a correct map would go stale at a rate no wiki could keep up with. A static pin layer would be actively misleading for the most-searched category.
Eight fields per pin. Five are impossible today; three this site already has.
| Field | What it is for | Current state |
|---|---|---|
location_id | A stable identifier for every point | Not published — no official location list |
name | The displayed name of each point | Partially available — a handful of places are named in official copy |
type | Category for filtering (settlement, ruin, resource, interior) | Not published |
coordinates | Map-space position for every point | Not published — this is the blocker |
version | Which build the data describes | Available — pages name the build they describe |
source_url | A citable origin for every pin | Available for named places only |
observed_at | When the pin was last confirmed | Available — this wiki records review dates |
confidence | Whether the pin is confirmed or inferred | Available — four status states are already in use |
Until then, three things do the job an interactive map would:
